There are a lot of conflicting opinions about the lifespan of these batteries.

What people are not mentioning is the type of device and how often it's being used.

As a rule of thumb, when a battery is physically small, it's capacity is lower. These batteries provide a lot of power (12 volts), which gives devices like remote controls / key fobs, etc. plenty of power for long ranges, but some devices will use a lot more power than others.

For example, I use mine for a remote power switch, which means I tap the button for a split second using only a tiny amount of current. A toy or remote control for a radio controlled car or plane will use constant power, so it will drain faster.

That said, even if you use a device that uses a lot of power, the great thing is that you get FOUR of these for under $6. Even if you think these batteries don't last as long as another brand, you are still getting FOUR of them for about the price of one of other brands. In other words, you're getting 4x the life for the same price.
